"KeyMe Locksmiths" places false google maps business locations around cities so that when you need a locksmith you call them and then they call a nearby locksmith who then calls you.

I found this out because my wife was locked out of our house yesterday, called me from her apple watch (which is all she had on her), and I went looking up locksmiths to help. So what's on my mind as I do this? Proximity. I don't want her to be waiting outside for hours with the dog and the baby.

KeyMe Locksmiths was in fact the closest to our house; I called, and a lady answered and asked for my information. I was immediately suspicious and asked the accented woman who answered the phone how this works. She informed me that a locksmith in the area will call me back.

Meanwhile I find the next closest legitimate locksmith who personally answered the phone (thank you AC Lock-n-Key ) and said they'd be there in 20-25 minutes.

Anyway I don't like that they do this
